Here is a mind map of the images
Activities:
41.Think you want to print out a photograph with a size of DIN A4: 210 × 297 mm
maintaining a printing quality of 200 dpi. Which resolution would the image need?
- First we translate mm to inches:
· 1 inch = 25.4 mm
· So 210 x 297 mm = 8.3 x 11.7 inches
- Then we multiply to have the resolution of 200 dpi:
· 8.3 x 11.7 inches x 200 px = 1,660 x 2,340 px = 3,884,400 px.
42.Which resolution would the same picture need to have a 300 dpi picture?
- We know the inches from the previous exercise.
- Then we multiply to have the resolution of 300 dpi:
· 8.3 x 11.7 inches x 300 px = 2,490 x 3,510 px = 7,843,500 px.
The mind map is good but you can put the definitions of vector and raster. Reformulated qustion: Is having a high resolution truly necessary to understand a picture?
